Lynchburg, Va — Republican candidate, Bob Good, won the 5th District Convention held in Lynchburg yesterday defeating incumbent Denver Riggleman with over 58% of the delegate votes cast. The modified drive-thru convention was held at Tree of Life church having organized an outdoor convention due to the in-person gathering restrictions as a result of the Covd-19 crisis. Good expressed his appreciation for the support of the hundreds of delegates who turned out to vote yesterday. Said Good, “Since launching our campaign last November, voters all over the district have aligned with us on our message of standing up for our conservative values. I have prioritized immigration reform, protection of our unborn, defense of the 2nd Amendment and support for Trump’s America first agenda as key issues.” Good added, “I believe that our shared Judeo-Christian principles are the foundation upon which our country was built and has sustained us for the last 240 years. Our freedoms are dependent upon the shared responsibility of a civil society where the rule of law is respected.”
Finally Good said “I stand ready to accept the nomination as the Republican candidate for office to represent the 5th District of Virginia. I look forward to working with the Trump campaign as we head into the General Election in November”
