“I am a constitutional conservative.” These five words form the basis of Republican Bob Good’s political platform. Good is currently running as a candidate in Virginia’s 5th Congressional District.

Speaking to a very large group of over 70 people at the January meeting of the Lake Monticello Conservative Club, Good presented his views in a friendly, informal manner. Walking among the attendees, Bob Good stated his support for the president of the United States and his willingness to vote for Trump’s agenda.

Showing his respect for hard-working taxpayers, Good re-minded us of the strong, vibrant economy that has been made possible through a combination of deregulations and historic trade agreements. Our Congressional Representatives need to embrace and support the financial stewardship of the Trump administration, he said. Bob Good aligned himself with these fiscal and other conservative policies.

Good said he understood the necessity for building a wall along our nation’s southern border. Many criminals and drug dealers crawl through tunnels or climb through hole-ridden fences to enter the country illegally. A tall, substantive border wall would aid Border Patrol agents as they capture these criminals to keep our American citizens safe.

Additionally, Good believes in upholding our 2nd Amendment rights to allow citizens to own guns and use them with caution and wisdom. He also spoke about his support for the sanctity of life, beginning with the baby in the womb. He is against abortion at any time during a pregnancy.

Through his service on the Board of Supervisors for Campbell County, Good obtained significant experience as a legislator. His conservative voting record is strong and steadfast. He has recently retired from his position as Senior Associate Athletics Director and Flames Club Executive Director at Liberty University.
